Terms and Conditions
Services Offered
- Baggage transfer services for the West Highland Way.
- Gear rental, including tents, power banks, walking equipment, and more (excluding boots).
- Tent pitching services at designated stops.
Bookings and Payments
- All bookings must be made online or through our official contact channels.
- Full payment is required at the time of booking to confirm services.
- Additional services, such as last-minute changes or extra baggage, may incur additional fees.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
- Cancellations made at least 14 days prior to the start date will receive a full refund.
- Cancellations made within 7-13 days will receive a 50% refund.
- Cancellations made less than 7 days in advance are non-refundable.
- Refunds for rented equipment will be issued only if the gear is unused and returned in its original condition.
Baggage Policy
- Each bag must weigh no more than 35kg. Overweight bags will incur additional charges or may be refused.
- Bags must be securely packed. We are not liable for damage caused by improper packing.
- Prohibited items (e.g., hazardous materials, illegal substances) are not allowed.
Gear Rental Policy
- All rented gear must be returned in the same condition as provided.
- A security deposit of (£?) may be required for certain items.
- Damaged or lost equipment will incur repair or replacement charges.
- A late return fee of (£?/day) applies for gear not returned on time.
Tent Pitching Service
- Tent pitching services are provided at designated stops agreed upon during booking.
- Customers must specify their arrival time to ensure the tent is ready upon arrival.
Force Majeure Clause
We are not responsible for any failure to perform our obligations due to events beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, or governmental restrictions.
Liability
- We take every precaution to ensure the safe and timely delivery of your baggage. However, we are not liable for delays or damages caused by factors beyond our control, such as weather, road conditions, or third-party services.
- Gear rented must be returned in the same condition as provided. Damaged or lost equipment will be subject to repair or replacement costs.
Insurance Disclaimer
We recommend customers obtain travel insurance that covers baggage, gear rentals, and unforeseen cancellations, as our liability is limited to the terms outlined above.
Damage Waiver
Customers may opt to pay a damage waiver fee of (£?) per item to cover minor accidental damages to rented gear.
Environmental Responsibility
We are committed to preserving Scotland’s natural beauty. Customers are encouraged to follow Leave No Trace principles during their journey.
Customer Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate information is provided at the time of booking.
- Be available to hand over luggage or collect rented gear at agreed times and locations.
- Adhere to local laws and trail guidelines during your journey.
Changes to Bookings
- Changes to bookings must be requested at least 48 hours in advance and are subject to availability.
- Last-minute changes may incur additional charges.
Lost or Damaged Items
- In the event of lost or damaged baggage, customers must notify us within 24 hours.
- Claims will be assessed, and compensation may be provided at our discretion, up to a maximum of £250 per bag.
Promotions and Discounts
Discounted rates or promotional offers are subject to specific terms outlined at the time of the promotion and cannot be combined with other discounts.
Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute, parties agree to first seek resolution through mediation before pursuing legal action.
